The term is sexist, but just what makes a “chick” go into politics? Third-party politics at that. Gail “for Rail” has run for US Senate in Virginia, not once, but twice. Not an easy thing to do since Virginia requires 10,000 valid signatures of properly qualified registered voters in order to be on the general election ballot. A feat not easily accomplished, yet Gail “for Rail” is credited by some with changing the control of the entire US Senate in 2006 with little more than $30,000, a few dedicated supporters and a passionate advocacy for More Trains, Less Traffic!…and she is still running for Rail. This is her story.
