One year ago, out of the blue, I received a telephone call from friends caring for a brand-new mother cat, a stray feline taken in for care who then escaped out the door for only one, obviously eventful, night. So now there were four new little furry animals needing a home.“I heard you might like to have a kitten!” No hello, how are you, no proof offered (Who told you that? How do you know? Do I seem crazy to you?) . . . just one stark statement. Well, I had no clue as to kitten care, feeding or training, so I accepted two eight-week-old kittens for a life-time of care, feeding and training.I am now over my kitten phobia, but it took cute little silver tabby Abby and tortoiseshell Tori, along with an ice cream treat wrapper to do it.My book will answer the following questions: Doesn’t everybody love kittens? What are the five easy steps to training a kitten? Why do kittens like you to rub their ears and not their whiskers? What should you do if your kitten escapes out the door? Why can’t kittens type? And just how should you punish a kitten who looks at you with sad and sorrowful eyes?Tori and Abby have also included their comments somehow . . .
