Natalie and her mother are very close, but she neglected to tell her one important thing: she's marrying a white man. Now, the racial disparity isn't the only thing that gives her pause; she has no idea who this Brandon Greene person is or why he's so important. And while she attempts to convince her mother that a man can take care of her just as well as she, Brandon's parents look to her as though they've never seen a black person a day in their lives. What to do? And with all the family drama, Brandon and Natalie attempt to ignore the fact that they have little to no money for the wedding. That minor "hiccup" will hopefully get ironed out by the time the wedding rolls around. Or will it? In this sequel, Brandon and Natalie must now face the true test of their love: disapproving feuding families, diminishing financial security, a mother who bribes one of them to call it all off, and another mother who refuses to attend the wedding at all.
