A knock on the front door alerted Bill to the arrival of yet another trick-or-treater. With a grunt, he pushed himself off of the couch and made his way to the door, candy bowl in hand. As Bill opened the door, he was expecting some kids and perhaps an accompanying parent. He was greeted by a much different sight.

“Trick or treat?” the girl asked.
