Sarah Dawson (1842-1909) was a former New Orleans debutant who wrote a diary of the Civil War which consisted of five books. Dawson’s book A Confederate Girl’s Diary was published in 1913 by Dawson’s son despite Sarah’s wishes to have it burned after her death. This version includes a table of contents.
