You may be wondering The Village Carpenter! Who is it? What is it? Why is it here? Let me start by telling you that the name The Village Carpenter comes from about 41 years ago.
My wife and I were sitting on our porch step, praying about what our Lord Jesus Christ would have us do with our young lives. When we finished praying, I opened my eyes, saw my hands folded in front of me, and at that instant, within my spirit, this peaceful voice said, “You have a pair of hands, use them to My Glory!”
We decided to go for it and to work for ourselves to serve The Lord! While talking to our church pastor about it, the thought of having a business name came up. We tossed around several names, then our pastor suggested, “Jesus was a carpenter! He lived in the village of Nazareth!”
We lived on a street that had the word village in it! We were starting a business in the carpentry industry!
Thus came the name The Village Carpenter! So, in reality, the name The Village Carpenter started some 2,013 years ago!
Today, we continue to serve The Lord Jesus Christ! When we say: We Found It! We are referring to our salvation, through the shed blood of The Lord Jesus Christ. When we say: It was Free! We are referring to the free gift that God offers to all who will come to Him… The gift of salvation. When we say: We can help you find it too!
We are referring to helping you find Jesus as your Savior through this website. We will share many things to help you along your way.
This past year our operation has even taken a rather large expansion. Early in the year, I was doing some contracting work for another Christian businessman. He told me I needed to change our business name because it seemed too… Small! After praying about it… We added the words World Wide Ministries. Thus came the name of our operation today. The Village Carpenter World Wide Ministries. We have a presence on the World Wide Web so it was a natural fit.
On September 5, 2006 Jesus called us to take “Exclusive Rights” to go to the people and investigate and write books to document Signs, Wonders, and Miracles that He is doing right now. The Book of Acts was just a start of what God is doing. Today He is very busy, but we have not seen anything yet!
Daily Signs, Wonders and Miracles are taking place at a phenomenal pace and God said they would continue to increase in intensity until Jesus comes!
Because of this, we started The Village Carpenter Publishing House. Since we went full time starting in July we have published many books. We will highlight them as we write this book.
In our first book “THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE,” we stated: “I remember being outside the kitchen window of our home. My Grandmother had the radio on.
I remember the radio announcer say something like: We interrupt this program to bring you this special news flash… It is reported today that five missionary men were speared to death in Ecuador, South America. I remember as an eight year old boy hearing this tragic news, praying. I mean really praying… Probably for the first time something like, “God, what can I do to help?”
We mention this here because of the importance of the printed page. My call from God was on this day, Monday January 9, 1956.
