The sky is dark and the moon still shines across the lake as the fishermen wander in from their early morning efforts. Antimony Period, known to all as Ant, has been rudely awoken by his brother's rumbling snores, and sits alone at the kitchen table, blearily shoveling down a bowl of cereal. Eager to escape the stresses that naturally accompany a huge vacationing family, he leaves the house to take a walk and clear his head. The air is cool and accompanied by only the slightest breeze (plus, of course, the countless patrolling squadrons of mosquitoes). Deep in the woods and slowly wending his way along the overgrown jeep road that circles the swamp there, the pristine stillness is suddenly shattered by a pair of gunshots. Within minutes, Ant finds himself face-to-face with not only the unfortunate victim, but also the two men who shot him. Ant, who only wanted to get away from his family, is soon taken from them as he becomes embroiled in the affairs of a local mob, known in the little Michigan town of Perfidy as the Pontoon Mafia. Will Ant survive, save himself, and keep his family from danger? Find out in Antimony Period and the Pontoon Mafia!
